The Colonarie River carrying away tons of rich soil and thinking about taking some houses too. The river is almost going over the bridge. That has only happened 3 times in the 50 years the bridge has been around. I like to look at the satellite images from NOAA. Here is a picture of this storm. Can you find St. Vincent? "Snow Day" 11/11/2003 It has been raining almost non stop for about 3 days now. Last night a big thunderstorm passed through and put down an amazing amount of rain. I woke up to a big rumbling sound. The river had risen and was rolling huge boulders downstream. There was even more water in the river than at the peak of tropical storm Lili last year. Several roads were closed from mudslides. Schools were closed too. It was kind of like a snow day back home. Everyone just spent the day at home inside. I especially enjoyed the cooler temperatures.
