"Cro Cro Crow" 10/04/2002
On Monday I moved into the neighborhood called "Cro Cro Crow". Why it is named that I am not sure. It may have to do with all the roosters. The very ones that start "crowing" at around 4:00 am. They don't bother me nearly as much as the dogs though. There is a dogfight at least every half an hour during the night. No, I am not exagerating. Humanwise this is a very quiet neighborhood, but between the goats, sheep, donkeys, chickens, cats, and dogs it can be very noisy at times. I am struggling a little bit with being all alone now. I have spent the past 10 weeks living with very friendly families. Now I am in a house all by myself. I don't have TV, a working phone, or anything to do. This allows me to sit around and miss home for long stretches of time. That really sucks. I do have an old radio that if you hold it just right will pick up some radio stations. I also have a very funny clock. I think that it's batteries are almost dead or something because when it goes to play it's little electronic song every hour it has a hard time getting the ends of the notes out. I guess that you would have to hear it, but it is pretty darn funny. Other than being a little lonely and homesick things are going pretty well. I would probably be going through the same thing no matter what I had decided to do after school. Hopefully, the computer lab will be ready soon so that I will have something to do. |
